Vancity Venue: Victoria Marriott Inner Harbour
Located in downtown Victoria, you will find Victoria Marriott Inner Harbour, which is within walking distance to great attractions, dining, and shopping. We had the wonderful opportunity to tour the venue and learn more about their customizable wedding packages and the services available.
The Victoria Marriott Inner Harbour is able to accommodate larger parties of over 100+ to smaller parties of less than 50+. You will have the option of selecting your ceremony at St. Ann’s Academy which is a short walking distance from the hotel.
St. Ann’s Academy has a gorgeous inner space and if you prefer an outdoor wedding, they also have a closed-off garden. Both spaces can accommodate 100+ guests. While walking around St. Ann’s Academy, one cannot help but notice how their outdoor garden is the perfect picturesque spot for wedding photos.
Another option would be to have the ceremony and reception in the hotel, which can accommodate over 100+ guests for the ceremony. After the ceremony, the guests can grab a cocktail and mingle just outside the ballroom, while the team sets up the room for the reception.
There is also the option of having the ceremony outside at the Terrace Patio in the hotel which accommodates up to 40 to 80 guests depending on your set up.
The staff at the Victoria Marriott Inner Harbour will ensure that your special day goes smoothly. Their event planner will be on site in the beginning to ensure everything is set-up as planned. If there are any questions afterwards, you can speak to the captain in a red vest who will be there to help you throughout the day.
After the reception, the newlyweds and guests can dance the night away. The night doesn’t end there as the newly married couple can retreat back to their complimentary room at the Victoria Marriott Inner Harbour. What a great way to start their future together!

How many people can the venue accommodate?
Pacific Ballroom – 160 is a nice fit with a dance floor (not tables on it) or 180 with 2 tables on the dance floor being removed after dinner.
Terrace Room – 50 with a dance floor (no tables on it) or 60 with tables on the dance floor
Terrace Patio – Approximately 40-80 depending on set up style
Can Ceremony & Reception be held at the venue?
Yes, We can definitely hold both the reception and ceremony on site and have indoor and outdoor options using our patio and ballrooms. We also have a partnership with St. Ann’s Academy located about 1 block from the hotel. They have options for garden weddings with a backup indoor space at the hotel or onsite at St. Ann’s.
Is there inhouse catering, do they have the option of using outside catering?
Yes, there is in house catering available. All food and beverage served (with the exception of the Wedding cake) on site must be supplied by the hotel. We have Wedding packages and a la carte options available.
What is the minimum price for booking the venue and what is included in the booking?
I’ve attached our wedding packages that are most popular. We also are happy to customize packages or put together a la carte pricing for those that want something different or are working with a budget not The Wedding guide offers all-inclusive pricing where the Catering guide gives the couple a little more flexibility if they prefer.
Are there any limitations when booking?
Our packages are all inclusive (See attached package details) however the hotel is very flexible and happy to customize the experience to fit the couples vision for their special day. We have some great relationships with local decorators and our food and beverage department is happy to accommodate special requests wherever possible.

What was one of your most memorable wedding experiences?
We have catered to many multi-faceted cultural backgrounds, including Indian and Asian weddings, but the most memorable would be the bride and groom from Tonga. The wedding party was dressed in traditional outfits and enjoyed a fantastic Polynesian themed dance performance. They incorporated many Tongan traditions throughout their menu and evening.
What advice would you give an upcoming bride & groom?
With so many sources of inspiration out there, it can be a bit overwhelming. To help stay focused create a board on Pinterest or put together some clippings. Share this with the venue and planning partners to help communicate your vision. And remember when it comes to your wedding day, it is all about you and your partner’s love. Don’t sweat the small stuff.
