Wedding Accessories Trends 2015

Wedding season is swiftly approaching & brides everywhere are searching for those oh-so-perfect accessories to finish their bridal look. And in the world of Etsy & online shopping, the options are oh-so-endless! To help narrow the search for brides this coming season, I’ve decided to draft up a list of the current favourites & rising trends of the wedding world.

ROSE GOLD EVERYTHING
The rose gold trend gained huge momentum on the wedding scene beginning with rose gold engagement rings. A return to the classic wedding culture of the 1990s (think Father of the Bride & yellow gold wedding bands), coupled with the flair of the modern bride (think non-traditional dresses), has led to the bridal (r)evolution of rose gold everything. Rose gold sequin dresses, rose gold clutches, rose gold hair accessories, rose gold jewelry—rose gold everything is on every brides’ mind.

FLORAL HAIR PIECES
Whether for the bride, the bridesmaids, or the flower girl, floral hair accessories are a perfectly feminine trend that I am glad to see stick around for a little while. The best thing about floral hair accessories is that they work for so many bridal styles.  A golden headpiece of leaves for the boho bride. An oversized chiffon flower for the statement bride. A rhinestone & pearl lily for the beach bride. A rose gold flower crown for the ethereal bride. No matter which way you spin it, it’s a trend worth checking out!

THIN & DAINTY SASHES
Though statement dresses, statement necklaces, and statement bouquets are on the rise amongst wedding trends, the thin & dainty is what’s on the rise in bridal sash trends. Brides are looking for that perfect bit of sparkle to cinch the waist. Sweet and simple.

BRIDESMAID MISMATCHED CLUTCHES
Along with the trend of mismatched bridesmaid dresses, comes the trend of mismatched bridesmaid clutches. There’s no better way to say ‘thank you’ to your ladies in waiting than with a personalised clutch to hold all their wedding day essentials. And why not get alongside real trendsetters and have your bridesmaids carry a floral clutch in lieu of a bouquet whilst walking down the aisle!
